Reflections

It is important for us to bear in mind the paradoxes when integrating technology into Teaching and Learning.  While students see a disconnect between their private world and school, as teachers, we need to help bridge that disconnect.  Moreover, students may not know the rules of engagement in the Internet and need to be taught digital competence.

  1. Agree. That's remind me of a quote from Bruce Lee: "Knowing is not enough, we must apply. Willing is not enough, we must do it" We need to help our teachers and students to close the gap of knowing and doing by getting them to draw the meaning behind.

  2. I think we should also reflect if skills such as navigating in the digital space needs to be explicitly taught rather than being incidental. More so when their digital footprint extends into their adult life.
