Reflection from Alan Goh

Internet connectivity and advancement in tools enable us to design our learning space 1. Learning is personal – We take ownership of our personal or professional learning in the learning communities. We dictate what we want to learn? How we want to learn? Who we want to learn from? 2. Implications on being connected – tools, content, community. Self-awareness is critical as we are visible in the community. We should be aware how we represent ourselves when participating in the community exchange.

  1. Fully agree... Being professional in our personal representation in the cyber world. Like she said, we have to assume that people will know who we are in both our professional as well as personal online space.

  2. In the current modern society, the availability of internet connection has torn down the walls of communication. But the irony is that though there exists ease in connectivity with other humans, this has speed up and broadcast the insensitivity of human interactions. The 'bad' becomes easily recorded, penned down and forwarded. A move forward is not only just self-awareness but to encourage all users to spread the 'good' practices.
